Poetry by Love and Cheesecake—A Heaven For Dessert Lovers!

This place has my heart <3 The moment I entered, I knew I was in for a tantalizing treat. And so was I! Yes, Poetry by Love and Cheesecake has totally smitten me and made me feel completely weak in the knees. Before I get all gung-ho about this exquisite outlet, let me fill you in on a little bit about the café-patisserie hybrid and the amazing people associated with it.

Brought to us by the famous duo, Ruchyeta Bhatia and chef Amit Sharma, Poetry by Love and Cheesecake is the quintessential tiny café combined with a patisserie, which is situated in different parts of Mumbai, as of now Bandra and Juhu. Thank God for this union!

Visited the recently opened branch in Juhu on a Sunday evening, near Prithvi Theatre, Juhu, Mumbai which only managed to impress and nothing else! Was enthralled by the breath-taking French-European interiors; the ambience was relaxed, fun and girly—all things pastel, walls adorned with framed pictures of poetry verses, shelves with various poetry books for anyone to browse through etc. Embrace a pleasant vibe when you get here – just what you need on a chill day. Apart from that, the service was warm, courteous and most importantly quick. Guys, just so you know, this one is officially my happy place. :)

The Cafe offers its diners a variety of dishes of Italian cuisine and a range of bakery and confectionary that could tingle one's taste buds in an instant. The premium and exclusive menu offers an array of scrumptious range of food and drinks to choose from and serves its diners, freshly baked dishes, both sweet and savoury.

I personally did not try the food here, but the desserts were simply out-of-this-world. A small bite, and you will think LOVE and LOVE only. This place should definitely be on your list of to-go food places, for sure!

Blue Berry Cheesecake

The best blueberry cheesecake I have tasted for the unusual crunchy base! The crust had a chocolate cookie crumb base instead of the regular graham cracker, which made it all the more delicious. Perfect blend of fresh, fruity flavours and spot-on consistency of creamy, this soft cake was a heavenly delight and truly deserves a five star rating. Kudos to the chef!

Crème Brule also known as Burnt Cream or Trinity Cream

Beautifully prepared, a rich custard base is topped with a thin brittle crust of caramelized sugar. Experience the richness in flavour and creamy texture along with a tad bit crunch in every bite.

Belgian Chocolate Waffle

This one was a heart-stealer! Very well presented as you can see in the picture; witness a half moon waffle that felt light and crunchy, with larger squared and deeper pockets smeared with Belgian chocolate, sprinkled French rocks, three mini scoops of whipped cream topped with glazed marsh mellows, and some freshly cut flowers that made it look extra pretty, served with vanilla icecream, chocolate truffle sauce & maple syrup. This could certainly be served with a cup of coffee or tea and hence, we decided to opt for green tea to end our perfect Sunday evening.

Mogo Mogo Green Tea

A combination of Green tea, banana, mango, guava, melon, passion flowers, sunflowers, cornflowers.

Little Buddha

A combination of Green Sancha tea, pineapple, papaya, liquerice, sandalwood, red peppercorns, roman chamomile.

At last, the best part? The bill brings the poetry essence beautifully as it arrives inside the pages of a book filled with poetry verses. Until you get your change back, immerse yourself in an interesting read. Poetry by Love & Cheesecake is an ideal place to indulge in sugary goodness and relish the irresistible food the cafe offers as well.

P.S Their red velvet cake is quite a delicacy here too!
