Hey Guys, @busago_mumbai is now in Fort and looks like this place has a big fan already-ME!

The Busago Story:

BusaGo, is an authentic Asian bistro in Mumbai @Mahim (Home Delivery only) and the other @Fort. Nikhil Chib, the Executive Chef at Busago started off on a home catering business with a few helpers and a tiny kitchen. Eventually he launched his first brick and mortar venture in Goa just for the season. It was an overnight success giving way to the birth of Mumbai's first stand alone South East Asian joint in 2001 - Busaba. His passion for cuisine motivated him to train from different renowned culinary schools in France. When he came back to India, he realized the gap in the market for something fast, easy and economical. That’s when he came along with BusaGo. Interesting story, isn’t it? Someone following their passion and making it happen is quite amazing!

Visited this place recently and the beautiful, fancy and artistic entrance made me want to enter and explore more. Inspired by the locals in Burma, who would have a long bamboo on their shoulder with the noodles on one end and chicken coconut curry on the other and they would stop for each customer and make them a dish in a bowl with love. To bring this alive, different colored bowls are on the wall as soon as you enter. A small place, this one serves amazing authentic Asian food!

I had the below dishes when I went here for dinner...:)

Chicken in Basil:

From the spicy, Stir Fries section, tried the Chicken in basil that includes stir fried chicken with chili, garlic and holi basil served with steamed rice…yum! The dish could have tasted less saltier, but overall the chicken and veggies covered with a delicious sauce and the basil gave a unique flavor to the entire dish…Authentic Asian food I must say…Give it a try! All this served best with the restaurant’s signature sauce - Chib's Original Chilli Sauce.

Burmese Chicken Kaukswe (This one’s a must-have):

Prepared my very own Burmese Chicken Kaukswe

A bowl of a subtle coconut chicken curry and another bowl of rice/hakka noodles (you can opt for any…and for those on a weight watchers diet. you have the brown rice option too) and along with these, various fresh condiments to make the dish delicious…Choose well and prepare your yummilicious kaukswe! Guys, this one is worth the try @busago_mumbai

‘Great Hydrator’ & ‘Good morning Bandra’:

To quench your thirst, BusaGo presents a line of fine juices and hearty smoothie combos with berries, fresh fruit, low fat yoghurts, honey and other organic and wholesome options. Made from fresh fruit and no added sugar, I loved the ‘Great Hydrator’ on the menu which included pineapple, watermelon, apple and pomegranate, better than the ‘Good morning Bandra’ which had a mixture of orange, sweet lime and guava (great for all the citrus fans though!)

Gone Bananas over Banofee in-a-cup!

Tried the Banofee in-a-cup for dessert and trust me, this dish is unbelievably delicious. It's crunchy, creamy, and so indulgent that it makes my mouth water just writing about it. This one includes layers of biscuit base, creamy caramel and whipped cream topped with slices of bananas. Try it once, and it will soon become a real favourite.

Overall, a great meal. Really wish the ambience was better... :) Guys, Follow my awesome food handle on @thezestyfoodista on Instagram and stay tuned for my next blog that’s going to be pretty stylish!

XOXO
